Welcome again to my blog. This time I am going to review another book that I found in Kinokuniya Bookstore. The title is Conran on Color written by Sir Terence Conran, a UK born designer, restaurateur, retailer and writer. He has a furnishing store chain called Habitat, a design museum called The Design Museum, Conran Design Studio, Conran Group in hospitality field with resaurants, hotels, cafes and shops around the globe and interior design consultant company called Conran and Partners.

Conran on Color is one of his 50 books that Conran has written. Things that are discussed in the book will be such as how to mix and match different colors to achieve a better interior space as well as creating accents in it. Conran believes that color can really affect a space by breathing life into it and nature as well as art works is one of his inspiration in color source.

The chapters in this book are divided according to colors, so each chapter will focus on one particular color in which are blue, orange, green, red, yellow, natural and neutral colors. Then inside, the meaning and psychological feel of each color will be explained completely with image examples of the interior in each color scheme.

For me this book is not as 'heavy' as other interior design book, it's rather entertaining. You can learn more about each color before applying it to any space and make it psychologically better for its users. The book is not so thick and there are a lot of graphics and images inside, so it will not be boring to read at all. The hard copy of this book can be bought in less than $50, so it is quite worth it to invest.
