Maison et Objet is one of the biggest trade fair for interior design. Originated from France, it has brought itself to the top three most important European interior design events. They basically organize trade shows with brands and present it to more than 600 million potential clients worldwide.
Since the year 2014, Maison&Objet has landed their fair in Singapore and in Miami Beach the following year. This is to expand their network globally and bring more than 10000 creative and innovative New Luxury interior design products to be introduced to the people.
This year, this annual event is back in Singapore and showcased more than 250 exhibitors from Asia and Europe. The fair took place in Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center from March 8 to 11. Some interesting brands are shown here including the lifestyle range of the Maison&Objet Asia Designer of the year, Andre Fu. His brand is called Andre Fu Living (AFL), which lines perfume and bathroom collection. There are other brands exhibiting their products, ranging from flooring, rugs, wall coverings, personalized scents, home accessories, furniture, luxurious fitness equipment and many more.
In this four days event, there are 5 different summits about interior design and lifestyle. We can join these talks freely during the event as the location is inside the fair. For early registration, the badge fee is complimentary, but on the event day it costs SGD 60, so make sure to register as soon as you can.
I personally went to the fair on the 10th March 2016 with my whole class as a part of a class on the previous term. It is really well organized and very useful for interior designers to catch up with the newest design trends and to meet potential business clients and partners. We can also gain information on interior design and lifestyle though the seminars held in there. So, it is basically very worth it to visit.

Here are some pictures that I took in the trade fair:

Next year, Maison et Objet Asia will return to Singapore from March 7 to 10 2017 with new interesting products and brands to be explored. For more information and updates on this upcoming event, you can visit to their website at http://www.maison-objet.com/en/asia .
